How’s it going everyone!? I finished a video of a drawing that I did a day or so ago of a study that I’m working on. I’m currently trying to learn how to draw the human figure, more specifically, male anatomy, and I thought that it’d be a good idea to assign myself a few projects from studying photographs, to creating my own unique artwork.
I decided to start with a photo study, and as I worked on it, I recorded the entire process, and sped it up quite a bit into a quick video showing you guys how I went about my drawing.
What’s up guys, so, I’m considering doing small commissions of drawing other people’s pets, as that is something that I feel most comfortable doing than drawing people right now, but I intend to eventually do commissions of drawing people once I feel that I am ready. ^^
If you like the idea of commissioning me to draw your furry friends, hit that like button, and leave a comment saying that you’d be interested, and if you think that others would also be interested in having their pets drawn, please share this post. ^^
If I see that you guys are interested in having your pets drawn, I’ll be sure to let you guys know all the details of how my commissions will work, such as, how much it’ll cost, what you’ll end up getting, and how long it should take for me to finish a commission, and a few other things in regards to the drawing/painting.
**Notice: If you guys have birds, just be warned, I don’t have much experience drawing them, but if you really want me to draw them, know that I’ll do my best, but I’m not sure how well it’ll turn out. You have been warned! XD**
**Notice #2: If you’re reading this on my Peyton’s Art WordPress site, I’ll be hosting the commissions on my official Facebook Page here. So be sure to check that out if you’re interested in having your pet drawn or painted digitally!**
Hey there guys, so I just finished creating my first ever speed paint video! 🙂 I’m happy to see that it turned out alright, and I’m looking forward to creating more in the future for my next painting. ^^
How’s it going everyone, so I think that I’ve found a new way of creating paintings, and that’s finding inspiration from music. I like listening to songs that create images in your mind, because those images that you create in your head belong to you, so when you sit down to draw a new piece that was inspired by a song you like it’s not copy right, because no one has ever seen or created the original picture you see in your mind.
I’ve just recently heard a song called “Return of the Rainman” by Paul Hardcastle, when I was looking for some smooth jazz to listen to on iTunes, and when I stumbled across that song I started to come up with images in my mind that I thought would go well with the song, and as I imagined those images I saw great potential in them, and knew that I had to start drawing them out as soon as I could. So, this new piece that I’m working on is my take of a character design of a guy who can control the rain, or affect it somehow through a mysterious power of some kind. He’s created to be an urban legend of sorts, in that very few people have ever seen him, and those that have reported to have seen him control the rain and wind. Most people however, believe that he does not exist, and thus right him off as a made up fairy tale or myth, but those who have seen him know that he is real, and any time that it starts to rain, they’ll always know that the Rain Man is nearby.
So yeah, even though my character design/story has nothing to do with what the song is really about, I don’t think that I never would have been able to come up with such an idea without having been inspired by that song and how the melody helped my mind come up with a design to go with it.
Anyway, so now that I’ve gotten how I’ve come up with my new character concept, here’s how the work in progress image is turning out so far, I hope you guys like it, and thanks for checking out my work! 🙂
Hey there guys, so it’s been awhile since I’ve last posted something here, but I think that I have the next concept idea for a new painting. My new painting idea is a blimp, or some kind of sci-fi flying object hovering over a city at night, and below you can see blue lights coming off of the buildings.
This idea was inspired from a song called “Lionheart” from Of Monsters and Men. I really liked this song, and each time I listen to the beginning I always imagine some sort of futuristic flying machine looking down below and observing beautiful blue lights emanating from a lively city at night.
I’m really looking forward to fleshing out my sketch, and possibly editing a few things here and there to try and get the best image I can to get the effect I’m going for. For right now though, here is my initial concept sketch that I have going on, hope you guys like it! 🙂
Hey there guys, so I just finished my Black Panther painting yesterday, and I am very pleased with how it turned out, this could probably be the most realistic painting I’ve ever done before, so that’s pretty exciting! 😀
If you guys didn’t know already, I lost my paint job from the work in progress I uploaded before, so I had to start the painting process over completely from scratch, fortunately though, I was able to keep my linework, but for some reason Photoshop didn’t save my paint job, why… I have no idea.
Anyway, I’m very happy with this painting, and I hope that my friend likes it, and I hope that all of you like it as well! 🙂 Thank you guys for checking out my work, and if you’d like to let me know how I did, or how I could improve, please leave a comment below, I’d love to hear from you and receive your input. ^^
Thank you guys again for checking out my work, I really appreciate it, and I look forward to creating more and hopefully better art for you guys in the future! 🙂
Hey there guys, so I somehow lost my original work in progress painting of the Black Panther that I’ve been working on, but was able to keep the linework I did. I remember that I saved my work, but I guess something happened and it didn’t save all the way? Anyway, so I was forced to start over from scratch, and re-do the whole painting process from the ground up. It was heart breaking to lose all that progress, but in the end I think that it is a good way to see if I can accomplish something just as good as what I had before, or even give me the motivation to improve and get better than what I had originally done, and hopefully come out with a much better painting that perhaps I wouldn’t have had if I had finished the original work in progress I had done.
Here is my new work in progress painting that I have done, and I will add in my original so you guys can compare the two. ^^
I still have much work to do, but I think that this is turning out quite nicely so far, and I look forward to uploading the finished version to you guys as soon as possible! 🙂
